Nondual Awareness: How Did You Do It?

Got an excellent question from someone. Here's how I responded.

  1. Hello Natalie
Thank you for this video post I found it extremely helpful. The one thing all non dualists refer to is the notion of separation. What do you mean by this. I don't experience myself as separate from anything and yet I don't think I've had the shift.

  2. Very nice, Natalie. Very nice.

May send a few more of these notes as I continue to listen to this.

  3. Very nice way of putting the idea of "things appearing in the awareness" when you speak about the relationship of the absolute and what is manifest, or phenomenon as I have heard it put. This is the first time I've heard it put such (and a number of times you repeated with a different perspective.

  4. Hi Patricia,

Thanks for the comment. I’m sorry it took so long for me to respond. I just now noticed that you had left it.

When I refer to separation, I refer to the thought that I used to believe, that I was a separate entity, apart from you, or anyone else, who had an individual existence and free will and who controlled herself and much of her life.

Now, although I still have “Natalie” experiences and refer to myself as Natalie, there is an understanding that there is no such separate entity called Natalie, which has a free will and control over its world. There is only the One (or Source, as many refer to it), manifesting as these apparent forms we call me, you, Bob, Judy, dog, cat, etc.

I hope I have answered your question, Patricia.

    Much love,
    Natalie :^)

  5. Well done Natalie - very well put. You have clarity and great understanding in the way you explain things.
Also saw you on Buddha at the Gas Pump.
The Absolute is indeed very lucky and fortunate to be experiencing itself through Natalie.
